Staying Alive.......

The past three weeks have been an absolute blur, We have been working during the week and heading out to shows or camping trips every single weekend. This makes for a short week and a long weekend! The biggest challenge with this is getting home unpacking, cleaning everything up and repacking, not to mention that we need to keep up with all of the home chores, daily work expectations and anything extra for the weekend show! This can be a bit overwhelming, but it is also what I look forward to this time of year all year long.

I love showing our goats and this weekend is the culmination of many months of hard work. This is our WPDGA club show where Rob is helping to run the food booth smoking pork butts and, I am running the raffle table. To add to the complexity we are also showing our goats and camping! To say there is a lot to remember and do is an understatement! To top it all off my newest buckling that I got, came with a bit of a runny nose and cough, I'm sure from the show where we transferred him at. However, treatments and segregation has added an additional layer of complexity to an already busy schedule of events!

We are simply dealing with each need as it arises and trying to do our best to ensure everything gets taken care of and none of the balls in the air get dropped. I think this is why summer feels like it goes by so much faster than winter, because each day is action packed and goes by with the blink of an eye. As I am running around, I try to take time to stop and appreciate what is going on, knowing that this day will never happen again, and enjoy the beautiful splendor that is our crazy life! I would not have it any other way! I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather with your goats and any summertime activities! Happy Goating to you all!!
